Current Carmarthenshire and Scarlets Cup holders, Felinfoel, go through to the quarter finals of this season's Carmarthenshire Cup, due to the fact that they were the away team. Felinfoel secured a draw by converting a penalty in the dying minutes of this tense cup game. The visitors from Llanelli weathered early Emlyn pressure to score 2 fine tries before the break, converting one, to make the half time score 0 - 12 to the visitors. Emlyn had the better of the 2nd half with tries from, centre, Morgan Davies, scrum half, Gwilym Davies and, full back, Dafydd Griffiths. With time running out, Felinfoel broke through the home team's midfield and were awarded a penalty in front of the posts, this was enough to secure the draw that would see them through to the next round. The home team can be proud of their performance and due to injuries to a couple of key forwards they were helped out by members of the u13's. This game was well controlled by referee, Jason Ludgate of the WRU.
