Our History

Formed in 1977 the club situated in the picturesque Teify Valley has continued to grow over the years. At present the club 1 \xv are playing in Division One West of the WRU National League. Recent successes included winning the Division Three West title in 2009-10, the West Wales Brains S.A. Bowl Competition and National League Play-off match in 2012-13, and last season the club was promoted to Division One West. The 2XV are affiliated to the Llanelli & District League and play in theNovember  Carmarthen Tyres Division One. the Youth team play in the West Carmarthenshire Youth League.

The club also runs a very active mini and junior section. Teams are run at all ages from under seven to under sixteen, and all sides have at least two WRU qualified coaches running them. The minis and juniors meet and train on Thursday nights from 5-30 to 6-30 p.m. and extend a warm welcome to any child who wishes to learn rugby.

In November 2011, the new clubhouse was officially opened by the Welsh Rugby Union President, Mr. Dennis Gethin, M.A.,Ll.M.(Cantab). The clubhouse is located on the playing fields next to the changing rooms on the outskirts of Adpar on the main road to Llandyfriog. It is a purpose built building capable of holding formal dinners, parties, fund raising events etc. and is available for community use.

The club owns in total 16 acres of land and has developed the site to accommodate the new clubhouse, changing rooms, referees room, and first aid room. Three rugby pitches, two of which are full size, all floodlight, the main two to match standard, two spectator stands, concrete path around the main pitch which is enclosed with a barrier, and a concrete emergency vehicle road leading to the pitches.
