Emlyn extended their lead in the Carmarthen Tyres League with a hard fought victory over a stubborn Crymmych second team on Saturday.Led by veteran hooker Bedwyr Davies the Emlyn side scored three tries two of which were converted. Playing his first League game of the season outside half Steffan Evans showed that he is fully recovered from his shoulder operation by scoring two tries. He was closely followed by his brother and capatin of the Dreigiau Mathew Evans who aslo scored a try. Two of these scores were converted by the relaible boot of full back Gareth Phillips who put in another impressive performance.
With only two League games remaining the match against their nearest challengers Llangennech in a fortnight should decide the outcome of the title.
